Mauerhofer & Zuber to become part of Kummler+Matter in 2016

Zurich – Consolidation of the energy supply and transport technology division of the Alpiq InTec Group: Mauerhofer & Zuber SA will be incorporated into Kummler+Matter Ltd in January 2016. This will result in simplified structures and optimised coverage across the whole of Switzerland.

Mauerhofer & Zuber SA, which is primarily active in Western Switzerland and has been part of the Alpiq InTec Group since 2000, will be integrated into the Alpiq subsidiary Kummler+Matter Ltd on 1 January 2016. In terms of organisation, the “new” Kummler+Matter Ltd will consist of one operational unit for German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino and one for French-speaking Switzerland. As a result, Mauerhofer & Zuber SA will continue their current activities under the name Kummler+Matter Ltd and remain a reliable partner for their customers.

The merger will allow Swiss-wide synergies to be exploited more efficiently and will reduce the number of legal business units within the Alpiq Group. There will be no personnel cutbacks or major restructuring of the services offered. Current Mauerhofer & Zuber SA projects will be taken over in accordance with the contracts signed; existing warranties and obligations will continue to be upheld.
