Vercelli gas-fired combined cycle power plant (Alpiq Energia Italia S.p.A.)

The 40 MWel gas-fired combined cycle power plant is located in the town of Vercelli in northern Italy. Commissioned in 2004, it was planned by Alpiq and constructed by STC-Atel on a turnkey basis.

In 2017, after having been temporarily out of service, the plant was converted into a simple cycle power station. The new plant is characterised by a very high level of flexibility, which makes it an ideal solution for the emerging challenges on the energy market.

Alpiq Energia Italia is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the power plant.
